TWIN FALLS, Idaho - College of Southern Idaho Volleyball's Hazuna Akishige was solid at the libero position against Salt Lake CC and Colorado Northwestern this past week to earn Scenic West Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The sophomore averaged 4.16 digs per set for the Golden Eagles in a competitive loss to the Bruins and a dominant win over the Spartans.
She passed a 97 percent on service receive as well racking up 15 assists and two service aces.
The 20th-ranked Golden Eagles travel to USU Eastern and Snow College this week with two weeks left in the regular season.
