TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 20th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Team beat 11th-ranked USU Eastern in straight sets 27-25, 25-20, 31-29 Thursday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles fought off three set points in the third set before they tied the game at 29 on a Vivian Goto kill. They took the lead on a USU Eastern attack error and then put the match away on another Goto kill. 
Goto was unstoppable all night, finishing with 19 kills and a .371 hitting percentage. Two other CSI players finished in double-figure kills as well. Isabel Smart had 12 and Mina Benucci added 11. Posting a team-high five blocks was Ava Pond. The right side also had seven kills.
Running the offense, Dalayni Brindley finished with 35 assists along with seven digs and libero Hazuna Akishige had 22 digs and five assists.
The Golden Eagles, 16-8 overall and 5-3 in conference play, host Snow College Saturday at 1 p.m. in their final regular season home match. Sophomores will be honored prior to first serve.
