TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Program had its season record 12th player sign to play at the next level with the signing of Marissa Mauger to Southern Utah University.
The Golden Eagle pitcher joins 11 of her teammates that are moving on to play at four-year schools, including one to the SEC, two to the Big 12 and a total of seven to NCAA Division 1 schools, three to NCAA Division 2 schools and two NAIA colleges.
Mauger was an instrumental part of the Golden Eagles winning a Scenic West Athletic Conference Title, a Region 18 Championship and a spot in the JUCO World Series.
She posted a 3.87 ERA and a 9-1 overall record with 58 strikeouts in her 76 innings. She was an All-Region 18 Second Team selection and had one no-hitter and two shutouts this past season.
Southern Utah competed in the WAC last season but will be making the moving to the Big Sky Conference this upcoming year.
