Stoker at the top of the Region 18 awards

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball sweeps the Region 18 season awards with Randy Rogers being named Region 18 Coach of the Year and Savannah Stoker earning Player of the Year.
The Golden Eagles also were represented on the first team by Ashley Garner and the second team by Samara Morrow.
Stoker was a force all season for CSI, leading the team and the Scenic West Athletic Conference in scoring at 16.1 points per game. She was also third in the conference in rebounds (6.9 rpg), first in steals (2.8 spg) and second in field goal percentage (.531).
The sophomore forward was named SWAC Player of the Week three times and also was the Region 18 Tournament MVP.
Garner ranked right up there with Stoker as a stat leader. The sophomore post led the team and the conference in rebounds at 10.4 rebounds per game. She also was ninth in scoring (10.8 ppg), first in field goal percentage (.533) and fifth in blocks per game (0.9).
She earned SWAC Player of the Week twice and NJCAA National Player of the Week once. Garner was selected to the Region 18 All-Tournament Team as well.
Morrow joined Stoker and Garner on the Region 18 All-Tournament Team and was named SWAC Player of the Week once. The sophomore guard averaged 9.8 points per game, 2.2 steals per game (third in the conference), 4.0 assists per game (first in the conference) and 2.8 rebounds per game. She was second in the conference in free throw percentage (.813) and eighth in 3-point field goal percentage (.342).
With this year's Region 18 Coach of the Year award, Rogers has notched 11 of them in his 24-year career at CSI. Heading into his final NJCAA National Tournament as the leader of the Golden Eagles, he has a 589-186 overall record at the helm. This will be Rogers 13th trip to the national tournament and his last as he will retire at the end of the school year as the all-time winningest coach in CSI Women's Basketball history.
