LAKE CHARLES, La. - The seventh-seeded College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team rolled to the Elite Eight, dominating 10th-seeded Dodge City 96-56 Friday at the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
The Golden Eagles led by 38-26 at the half but pulled away in the third, outscoring Dodge City 36-12 in the period.
Four CSI players scored in double figures led by
Ashley Garners 21 points. She had 12 rebounds for the double-double and added four assists and four blocks.
Samara Morrow and
Savannah Stoker each had 14 points. Morrow also had three rebounds, four assists, four steals and Stoker had five rebounds and two assists.
Chloe Jensen finished with 12 points and two steals.
Both
Maci Hess and
Naomi Senato came off the bench to give CSI a spark. Hess had six points and five rebounds and Senato finished with seven points, eight rebounds and four assists.
The Golden Eagles will take on second-seeded Eastern Arizona Saturday at 11:15 a.m. with a spot in the Final Four on the line.
