Five CSI Volleyball players commit to next school

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Program will be saying goodbye to five players from the 2025 team as they move on to the next level.
Hazuna Akishige (University of Connecticut), Isabel Smart (Fresno State University), Mina Benucci (University at Albany), Gracee Robertson (Corban University) and Ashlee Stanger (Bismarck State College) have all made their decisions on their next home.
A two-time Region 18 Libero of the Year and 2025 NJCAA All American, Akishige led the Golden Eagles in digs per set, averaging 4.29. She passed a .932 serve receive percentage as well. She will be competing in the Big East Conference for a team that finished this past season 19-9 overall and 8-8 in conference play.
After redshirting her freshman season, Smart will transfer to Fresno State with three years of eligibility left. The right side hitter averaged 2.48 kills per set and .70 blocks per set for the Golden Eagles.  She was named to the Region 18 second team this past fall. The left-handed pin was third on the team in points per set with 2.91. Fresno State currently competes in the Mountain West but will compete in the Pac 12 next season. The Bulldogs finished the 2025 season 7-22 overall and 3-14 in conference play.
Garnering Region 18 First-Team honors, Mina Benucci will be playing next year for University at Albany. The sophomore middle blocker led the Golden Eagles in hitting percentage at .348. She averaged 2.34 kills per set and one block per set. She also led the team in points per set with 3.04.  University at Albany competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference where the Great Danes finished with an overall record of 14-12 last fall and a conference record of 6-4.
Gracee Robertson will be competing next fall at Corban University in Salem, Ore. The middle blocker averaged almost one kill and .65 blocks per game for CSI, while scoring 1.15 points per game. Corban qualified for the NAIA National Championships last fall, falling in the quarterfinals. The Warriors finished the season with a 27-6 overall record and a Cascade Conference record of 17-3.
Ashlee Stanger will also be playing in the NAIA Division at Bismarck State College. An outside hitter, Stanger started in 21 matches for the Golden Eagles, averaging 1.62 kills and 1.82 points per game. Bismarck competes in the Frontier Conference where they finished with a record of 3-19. Overall the Mystics were 5-22. 
All five were a big part of the Golden Eagles success, helping them to the highest season national ranking of 7th. CSI finished the year with an 18-9 overall record and a 7-3 conference record, placing second in the the regular season.
