TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Hazuna Akishige has anchored The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Team's defense all year, helping them to another win Saturday against North Idaho and Scenic West Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for the third time. 
The sophomore finished with nine digs in the Golden Eagles win Saturday, solidifying the two seed in this week's Region 18 Tournament.
She also had two assists and one service ace.
For the season, Akishige leads the conference in digs per game.
The Golden Eagles open the tournament Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Snow College.
