FORT MYERS, Fla. - The 25th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team combined solid pitching and hitting to beat #11 Chipola 6-4 and Spoon River 7-0.
In the opener,
Adi Hansen,
Kyli Carrell and
Rilyne Keck each went 2-for-4. Keck had a double and two RBI.
Kyli Carrell had a two-RBI home run.
Alyce Archuleta was 1-for-2.
Sophia Bristow got the win in the circle, going all seven innings and giving up four runs on eight hits with three strikeouts.
Game two was all CSI.
Camryn Guest led the way offensively, finishing 3-for-3 with two RBI and three stolen bases.
Anslie Yazzie was 2-for-4 with a home run and
Shyann Banasky was 1-for-2. Both
Lexi Crowley and Archuleta were 1-for-3.
Ella Farrell was dominant in her win in the circle. The sophomore pitched all seven innings, giving up no runs on three hits with nine strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles travel to Southern Nevada for three games next week.
