FORT MYERS, Fla. - The 25th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team beat #3 St. Johns State 3-1 before falling to #9 Indian River 5-1 and Miami Dade 2-0 Friday at the Florida Southwestern Tournament.

Sophia Bristow pitched a gem in the opener for the win. The freshman gave up one run on three hits with five strikeouts.
Kyli Carrell was 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI,
Maile Ha'o finished with a home run and
Lexi Crowley,
Rilyne Keck and
Anslie Yazzie each hit a double.
The Golden Eagles couldn't get their bats going in the second game.
Alyce Archuleta was 1-for-3 and Ha'o was 2-for-2 with a walk.
Marissa Mauger took the loss, pitching 1.1 innings and giving up one earned run on two hits with one strikeout.
Ella Farrell pitched the final 5.2 innings, giving up one earned run on six hits with three strikeouts.Â
Game three was a pitchers duel.
Emerson Fuller gave up two earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts. CSI finished with more hits but couldn't plate a run.
Camryn Guest finished 2-for-3 with a walk and three stolen bases. Archuleta was 2-for-3.
CSI plays #11 Chipola and Spoon River Saturday before heading home.
