Box Score TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team needed a walk-off to win game one 8-5 before run ruling the Cardinals 9-1 in game two Friday to open Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles trailed 5-3 going into the bottom of the seventh inning of game one before
Adi Hansen singled and
Lily Heitz homered to tie it up. CSI then got the walk-off win after
Abbie Banning hit a three-run home run for the win.
Heitz, Banning and
Rilyne Keck all went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Emerson Fuller earned the win, pitching the final .2 innings and giving up no runs with one strikeout.Â
Game two was all CSI. The Golden Eagles took advantage of nine walks and seven hits for the run rule.
Hansen was 3-for-3 with an RBI,
Anslie Yazzie was 1-for-1 with two walks and
Ava Howell was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI.Â
Ella Farrell got the win in the circle, pitching all five innings and giving up just one earned run on three hits with four strikeouts.
CSI plays North Idaho for two more games Saturday.
