Box Score YUMA, Ariz. - The eighth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball shut out College of Southern Nevada 5-0 Saturday in the Arizona Western Shootout.
Golden Eagle pitcher Ella Farrell led the way. The freshman hurler gave up no runs on four hits with six strikeouts in her seven innings.
She only needs the CSI hitters to score one run but they gave her five.
Courtney Christiansen was 2-for-3 with a triple and three RBI. Adi Hansen was 3-for-4 with a double and one RBI and Alyce Archuleta was 1-for-1 with two walks. Abbie Banning finished 1-for-3 and Mariah Schauwecker was 1-for-2.
CSI is off next week before traveling to Florida for its final preseason tournament.
