Box Score 2 YUMA, Ariz. - The eighth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team struggled to put it all together Thursday, losing to Phoenix College 7-2 and Yavapai 1-0.
The highlight of the day came from
Ella Farrell. The freshman pitcher took the loss in game two but only gave up four hits with five strikeouts in her seven-inning loss.Â
The Golden Eagles out-hit the Roughriders but couldn't scratch across a run.
Courtney Christiansen was 2-for-3 with two doubles,
Lily Heitz was 1-for-3,
Abbie Banning was 1-for-3 and
Adi Hansen was 1-for-4.
In the earlier game,
Lexi Crowley was 1-for-2 with a triple and Anzlie Yazzie was 1-for-3 with a double.
Alyce Archuleta was also 1-for-3 with a double. Both Heitz and
Kelsie Jensen were 1-for-2.Â
In the circle,
Eva Stoddard got the loss, pitching four innings and giving up four earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts.
Marissa Mauger pitched the final three innings, giving up two runs on four hits with three strikeouts.
