Box Score 2 TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team beat Miami Dade Friday 4-3, before falling in extra innings to 10th-ranked Indian River 4-3 in the Florida Southwestern Tournament.
In game one,
Haylee Farnsworth led the Golden Eagles on offense, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.
Reagan Rex was 1-for-2 and
Kenzee Hale was 1-for-3 with a double and RBI. Evan Stoddard earned the win in the circle, going 6.1 innings and giving up two earned runs on four hits with two strikeouts.
Markessa Jensen got the save, pitching the final two outs with one strikeout.
Game two was a battle with both teams tied at 3 the end of regulation. The Golden Eagles failed to score in the top of the eighth before giving up the game-winner on the bottom half.
Tessa Hokanson and Jensen were each 2-for-3 with a double and RBI. Rex also had a double.
Hayes pitched six innings, giving up two earned runs with two strikeouts. Jensen pitched 1.1 innings, giving up no earned runs on one hit.
CSI, 8-4, takes on Chipola and #3 Wallace State on Saturday.
