Box Score 2 YUMA, Ariz. - The 10th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team powered through Pima 18-1 before falling to South Mountain 8-6 in extra innings.
The Golden Eagle bats and pitching were on point in game one as CSI finished with 16 hits and held Pima to one unearned run.
Gracie Tentinger hit one of CSI's five home runs, going 3-for-3 with two RBI.
Saige Nielsen was 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI,
Taya Manzanares was 2-for-4 with a home run,
Tessa Hokanson was 2-for-2 with a home run and Kenzie Hale had the final home run.

Gracie Walters earned the win, pitching four innings and giving up no earned runs on three hits with seven strikeouts.
Game two was a battle. Trailing 5-2 going into the bottom of the seventh,
Haylee Farnsworth pinch hit a three-run home run with two outs to send the game into the 8th innings. The Golden Eagles gave up three runs and could only manage one in the bottom half to finish with the loss. Manzanares was 2-for-4 with 1 RBI and
Maame Johnson was 1-for-2 with a double.
Brooke Merrill threw the first five innings, giving up three runs on five hits with five strikeouts.
Markessa Jensen earned the loss, going 1.2 innings and giving up two runs on two hits with one strikeout.
CSI, 4-2, takes on #9 Central Arizona Friday at 3 p.m. followed by Arizona Western at 5 p.m.
