TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho Softball program is excited to add the final two players to the 2017 roster. Local standout Courtney Argyle from Jerome and Meridian's Hailey Hicks will complete the roster.
"Courtney and Hailey are the type of players that will make us better," said CSI Head Coach Nick Baumert. "Both are talented softball players, good kids and great students. We are super excited to have both of them join our program."
Argyle, the Great Basin Co-Player of the Year, helped Jerome to a third place conference finish. The shortstop for the Tigers finished the season with a .636 batting average, 47 RBI, nine home runs and 16 stolen bases.
She played summer ball the past several years for Southern Idaho Ice, helping them to a second place state finish in 2014 and a seventh place Western A Nationals finish.
Hicks, a 5-4 shortstop from Rocky Mountain High School, plays travel softball for Idaho Crush. She was a key player in Rocky Mountain's 5A runner-up finish in the Idaho State Softball Championships in May as well as helping Idaho Crush to second place at the Idaho ASA State Tournament in July. This spring, Hicks hit .459 with five home runs and 23 RBI, earning SIC first team all-conference honors.
