Box Score 3 ODESSA, Texas - The 18th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball team swung it early to beat #10 Odessa 9-6 Friday but couldn't get anything going offensively late, falling to Cisco 4-3 and Otero 5-1 in the Odessa Softball Tournament.

Kelsey Christensen won her third game of the year in the circle against Odessa, giving up just two earned runs with two strikeouts.
Offensively,
Madi Ford went 3-for-4 with a triple,
Taylor Tahbo finished 3-for-3 with a double and
Erin Emanuel went 2-for-4 with a double and a home run.
Against Cisco, the Golden Eagles forged a comeback in the bottom of the seventh but couldn't quite pull off the win. With one out,
Jaici Bishop hit a home run. Then
Savannah Kirkpatrick and
Cassidy Basinger reached on singles. With Kirkpatrick on third, the Golden Eagles followed with a strikeout and a fly ball out to right field to come up one run short.
CheyAnne Dahl threw a great game for CSI, giving up just five hits and finishing with seven strikeouts.
In game three, the Golden Eagles managed just four hits.
Sarah Phillips led the way for CSI, going 2-for-2 with a walk.
Samantha Riesen gave up just five hits with three strikeouts in the loss.
CSI, now 4-5 overall, plays #10 Odessa and #15 Midland College Saturday.
