TWIN FALLS, Idaho - CSI Men's Soccer Sophomore goalkeeper Lasse Brier has been named the Scenic West Goalkeeper of the week for his efforts against two nationally ranked foes, helping the Golden Eagles to a 0-1-1 road trip. 
In the two matches, Brier was a force in goal for the Golden Eagles as he made six saves while only allowing a single goal on the road against 14th-ranked USU-Eastern and 4th-ranked Salt Lake.
The Hamburg, Germany native saved his best work for Saturday against the Bruins, a team that came in averaging 3.71 goals per game and had scored at least two goals in every match thus far. Brier played all 90 minutes, making five saves and keeping the Bruins scoreless, helping the Golden Eagles salvage a draw on the road against one of the nations top teams.
This was Brier's first shutout of the season and his career, as he now has 13 saves on the year for the 2-2-1 Golden Eagles. 
Brier and the Golden Eagles will be back home this weekend as they take on Colorado Northwestern and 13th-ranked Snow on Thursday and Saturday.
