TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball announces the signing of Idaho standout Reggie Larsen for the 2026-27 season.
The 6-foot-5 guard returns to his home state after spending the 2025-26 season at Salt Lake Community College, where he averaged 4.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 15 minutes per game while shooting an impressive 43 percent from three-point range.
Larsen comes to CSI after an outstanding high school career at Preston High School, where he established himself as one of Idaho's premier players. As a senior, he averaged 18.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 60 percent from the field and 45 percent from beyond the arc.
His remarkable senior season earned him 2025 Idaho Statesman 5A Player of the Year honors as he led Preston to the 2025 Idaho 5A State Championship. Larsen delivered one of the state's most memorable postseason performances by scoring 39 points in the state semifinal, helping guide the Indians to the championship. He also excelled in the classroom, graduating with a 3.6 GPA.
"We're thrilled to bring Reggie back to Idaho and welcome him to the CSI family," said CSI Head Coach Jeff Reinert. "He has the size and versatility to impact the game in a lot of ways. Reggie is an outstanding shooter, plays with great confidence, and understands what it takes to win. Having already competed at the junior college level, he'll bring valuable experience to our backcourt."
Reinert also believes Larson's best basketball is still in front of him.
"Reggie is a tremendous fit for our program both on and off the court. He comes from a championship background, has a tremendous work ethic, and is the type of person our fans will enjoy cheering for. We're excited to help him continue his development and believe he'll make an immediate impact in a Golden Eagle uniform."
Larsen becomes the latest addition to a talented 2026-27 recruiting class as CSI continues to build a roster capable of competing for Scenic West Athletic Conference and NJCAA national championships.
