CSI Softball lands eight on All-Region 18 list, including Player of the Year

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The accolades keep rolling in for the College of Southern Idaho Softball team as the Golden Eagles won the Scenic West Athletic Conference Title, the Region 18 Championship and now boast the Region 18 Player of the Year, Coach of the Year and seven other selections.
Making her mark on the base paths, Adi Hansen was named the Region 18 Player of the Year. The sophomore outfielder demolished the CSI single season (44) and career (62) stolen base records and currently ranks first in the country with 60 stolen bases on the year and has an astounding 96 during her career so far.
Hansen leads the conference in batting average at .474, runs with 79 and hits with 82. She also has a .528 on base percentage. Hansen was named to the Region 18 All Tournament Team as well.
In addition to Hansen, the Golden Eagles were represented on the first team by four players and the second team by three players.
Emerson Fuller, Rilyne Keck, Jade Romero and Camryn Guest were named first team and Marissa Mauger, Maile Ha'o and Anslie Yazzie were selected second team.
Keck, the Golden Eagles first baseman, is hitting .422 at the plate with 24 doubles, one triple, seven home runs and 78 RBI. She has 27 walks and only 12 strikeouts for a .490 on base percentage. She also was named to the Region 18 All-Tournament Team.
Playing second base, Romero has a .959 fielding percentage. She is hitting .385 at the plate with five double, three triples, seven home runs and 24 stolen bases. She has a .525 on base percentage with 25 walks.
Guest ranks second in the conference in stolen bases with 36. She has a .392 batting average with two doubles, five triples and three home runs. She has been flawless in the field, posting no errors.
Leading the Golden Eagles and conference in wins, Emerson Fuller holds a 16-4 record in the circle for the year. The Region 18 All Tournament Team selection has a 3.63 ERA in her 115.2 innings pitched with 75 strikeouts this season.
On the second team, teammate Mauger has a 3.69 ERA and a 9-1 record. She has 51 strikeouts and is holding opponents to a .230 batting average.
Ha'o, who was recently named the Region 18 Tournament MVP, is hitting .369 at the plate. She has six doubles, 15 home runs and 51 RBI.
Yazzie, CSI's shortstop, is hitting .333 at the plate with 11 doubles, eight home runs and 49 RBI along with a .411 on base percentage. 
CSI Head Coach Nick Baumert brought home his 10th Region 18 Coach of the Year accolade after leading the Golden Eagles to their fifth straight national tournament appearance. 
The Golden Eagles, 41-11 overall, will be heading to the NJCAA Division I World Series May 25-31 in Oxford, Ala.
