POCATELLO, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Men's and Women's Indoor Distance Track Teams opens up their seasons Friday at the Snake River Open at Idaho State University.
Five women's runners posted NJCAA National Meet qualifying times.
In the mile,
Laurie Davidson ran a 5:17.39 to qualify and
Audrey Lemon ran a 2:21.61 in the 800 to qualify. Converted due to elevation, Davidson posted a 5:11.34 time which ranks her fifth in the nation in NJCAA and Lemon's converted time of 2:20.94 ranks her 10th.
The Golden Eagles best event for the day was the 3,000 Meters.
Edith Neslen led the way in 10:39.52 (10:25.87 converted), followed by
Indianna Lundell in 10:48.75 (10:34.90 converted) and
Lily Griffith in 10:54.11 (10:40.15 converted). Those times ranks them 8th, 10th and 12th respectively.
CSI didn't have any men qualify but had several close in the mile and 3k.Â
Both teams will have a chance to add some qualifiers Friday and Saturday at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Meet in Moscow, Idaho.
