TOPEKA, Kan. - The College of Southern Idaho Men's and Women's Distance Track Teams came away from the NJCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field National Championships with two All Americans and a handful of all-time top-10 CSI times.
Mia Beightol ran a 2:57.97 in the 1,000 Meters, taking sixth and running the fasted CSI time ever for indoors in that event.
Isabella Beilke also claimed All-American status with a 2:16.90 time in the 800 Meters, taking sixth place. Also with a top 10 finish in the 800 Meters was
Audrey Lemon in a time of 2:18.59 for 10th.
Runners who finished the national meet with CSI top 10 times included:
Raivio Manzer (#3 in the 3,000 Meters and #5 in the 5,000 Meters);
Edith Neslen (#2 in the 3,000 Meters and #2 in the 5,000 Meters);
Lily Griffith (#4 in the 3,000 Meters);
Grayden DeVries (#3 in the Mile); Beilke (#3 in the 800 Meters);
Indianna Lundell (#5 in 5,000 Meters) and relay team of
Karli Harward, Beilke,
Ava Daniel and Griffth (#4 in Distance Medley Relay).
That was the final indoor meet and both teams will open the outdoor season in a few weeks.
