TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Cross Country and Distance Track Program celebrated
Mia Beightol and
Isabella Beilke signing on Wednesday to move on to the next levelĀ
Beightol will run for Eastern Oregon next fall and Beilke will transfer to the College of Idaho. Both schools compete in the Cascade Conference of NAIA.
Beightol transferred to CSI from Clark College and made her mark immediately, helping the Golden Eagle Cross Country Team to a fifth-place finish at the NJCAAĀ National Championships. She was a part of the Scenic West Athletic Conference Championship CSI Team and took fifth individually at the SWAC Championships. She set the CSI All-Time record in the 1000 Meters this winter, placing sixth at the NJCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships and earning All-American honors.
Beilke, who came to CSI from Jerome High School, brought home All-American honors her freshman year as a part of the Indoor Distance Medley Relay and again during the outdoor season in the 4x800 Relay. Individually, Beilke just claimed another All-American award, finishing sixth at the NJCAA Indoor National Championships in the 800 Meters. Her time places her with the third fastest indoor time ever at CSI.
Both Beightol and Beilke will finish out the outdoor season with the Golden Eagles before competing next year for their new teams.
