POCATELLO, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Rodeo claimed their second straight Rocky Mountain Region Rodeo, winning the Idaho State University Rodeo Friday and Saturday. The Men finished fourth but were within 120 points of first.
Golden Eagles
Celie Davis and
Hailey Gibbs took the top two spots in the women's all-around.Â
Davis took seventh in Team Roping, third in Barrel Racing and ninth in Breakaway Roping. Gibbs placed fourth in Goat Tying and fifth in Breakaway Roping.
Several of their teammates also placed in events.
Rhyan Brough took fourth in Barrel Racing and
Ellie Thurgood was fifth.
Ella Begger won Breakaway Roping and
Hayden Corta placed second in Goat Tying.
The Golden Eagles lead the region with 800 points and rank second in the nation currently.
The Men's Team dominated the rough stock, winning all three events.
Christian Bolli won Saddle Bronc Riding,
Dahl Winters took first in Bareback Riding and
Mason Reine finished first in Bull Riding.
Teammates
Cade Johnson (5th) and
Kasen Post (8th) each placed in Tie Down Roping and
Chase Andrade was fourth in Steer Wrestling.
In the overall standings through two rodeos, the CSI Men's Team is in fourth place with 790 points. Region leader Snow College has 970 points.Â
CSI travels to Spanish Fork, Utah Friday and Saturday for the Utah Valley University Rodeo.
