PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Team stands in first and the men in fourth after this past weekend's rodeo at USU Eastern and through the first half of the Rocky Mountain Region schedule.
The Golden Eagle Women's Team took second Friday and Saturday and the Men's Team placed fifth.
Leading the way for CSI was
Celie Davis. The freshman won the all-around, taking fourth in Team Roping and winning Breakaway Roping. Individually, she also leads the Women's All-Around region race with 910 points.
Also scoring for the women this weekend were
Ellie Thurgood in Barrel Racing (6th) and
Ella Begger in Goat Tying (10th).
Macey Moore took fifth in Breakway Roping.
For the men,
Dahl Winters won Bareback Riding. Teammates
Trevor Burdick and
Cade Johnson finished seventh and eighth in Tie Down Roping and
Chase Andrade and
Landen Roggenkamp went fifth and ninth in Steer Wrestling.
Winters has a sizable lead in the overall standings in Bareback Riding through the first half of the season.Â
The next Rocky Mountain Region Rodeo won't be until next spring.
