Golden Eagle Women's Cross Country fares well at opening meet

OREM, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Cross Country Team opened its season Friday at the Utah Valley Invitational, taking fifth as a team against mostly four-year school in the three-mile race.
The Golden Eagles beat Snow College, Salt Lake CC and Westminster, trailing only Utah Valley, University of Utah, Southern Utah University and the University of Oregon.
Leading the way for CSI was Edith Neslen in 21st place in a time of 18:23.55. Close behind was Audrey Lemon (25th in 18:31.70), Indianna Lundell (29th in 18:36.16), Mia Beightol (30th in 18:43.32) and Sage Lyon (33rd in 18:50.73).
CSI returns home to host the Dr. Thad Scholes Memorial Invitational Friday, Sept. 5 at Canyon Springs Golf Course.
