TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The Scenic West Athletic Conference has announced its All-Region 18 selections for the 2025 Baseball season. The Golden Eagles placed four players on the second team.
Jack Barker and
Mack Evans were selected for the second-team outfield, while
Tayson Howard made second-team infield.
Degan Rigby earned second-team relief pitcher accolades.
Barker led the Golden Eagles in hitting, posting a .456 batting average with 93 hits, 22 doubles, eight home runs and 65 RBI. Not only was he tops on the team but he has moved into the record books. The sophomore is tied for the season record in doubles (22) and triples (7) as well as being tied for career triples with 12. He holds the single-season batting average record at .456 and the hits record with 93.
Evans hit .297 at the plate for CSI with nine doubles, eight home runs and 30 RBI. He had an on-base percentage of .430.
Hitting in the lead-off position for the Golden Eagles all season, Howard finished with the team's second-highest batting average at .344. He also had 14 doubles and 30 RBI along with 26 stolen bases. He had an on-base percentage of .456.
Coming out of the bullpen all year for CSI was
Degan Rigby. The freshman posted a 5.26 ERA in his 25.2 innings pitched with two saves. He also had 36 strikeouts.
CSI finished the year with a 30-28 overall record.Â
