First wave of CSI Baseball players sign to four-year schools

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Five CSI Baseball players have put pen to paper, making it official where they will be continuing their academic and athletic careers in the 2026 season.
Left-handed pitcher, Shay Benson, and Catcher, Brexten Starley will be taking their talents to Nicholls State, a member of the Southland Conference down in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Benson is coming off a fantastic freshman campaign where he threw 59.2 innings and registered a 6-3 record along with a 3.17 ERA. He started 10 games in the 2024 season, that included two complete games and a .205 batting average against him. Starley's freshman season was unfortunately cut short due to injury, but he hit .350 in just nine games while sporting a .458 on base percentage.
Right-handed pitcher Coleman Bobb will join Virginia Commenwwealth University in the fall of 2025, the same school former CSI Pitcher Josh Trentadue was committed to before being selected in the MLB draft. Bobb threw just two innings, and registered four strikeouts in his freshman season, but looks to have a large impact for the Golden Eagles this spring.
Left-handed pitcher Brock Snow is the next Golden Eagle to take his talents to Brigham Young University, joining fellow CSI Baseball athletes, Candon Dahle, Tate Gambill, Stone Cushing, and former teammate Ashton Johnson to head from Twin Falls to Provo. Snow was a prominent force in the CSI starting rotation a year ago as he threw 50 innings and racked up 70 strikeouts in his freshman season. Snow finished with a 4-3 record in nine starts a season ago.
Lastly, Jack Barker will be taking his talents to NCAA Division 2 powerhouse Colorado Mesa. Barker hit .286 his freshman year while spending time in both the outfield and at first base for the Golden Eagles. His six triples was tops on the team last year, while he also drove in 29 runs and had 42 hits in his 49 starts.
Now that the recruiting process is wrapped up, these five now shift their focus to the 2025 season where all five look to make an immense impact for the Golden Eagles this season, who open the new year Jan. 24th in Tuscon, Arizona.
