TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The two-time defending NJCAA National Championship College of Southern Idaho Women's Cross Country Team picked up where it left off last year, posting some great times at the Dr. Thad Scholes Memorial Cross Country Classic Meet sponsored by Idaho Milk Products.
In their first meet the season, the Golden Eagles, competing against four-year schools, had three runners crack the top 10 individually, while the team placed second.
Elizabeth Phillips ran a 18:42.2 to take fifth with Rozzlyn Casier close behind at 18:58.5 for sixth.
Abigail Case placed seventh in 19:19.4,
Jaresa Jackson was 11th in 19:29.0 and
Macie Chugg took 12th in 19:34.7.
College of Idaho won the team event held at Canyon Springs Golf Course and Northwest Nazarene University was third.Â
