TWIN FALLS, Idaho - After a three week break, the College of Southern Idaho Softball Team took care of business beating North Idaho College 10-0 and 7-1 in a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles took advantage of eight walks along with six hits in game one to run rule the Cardinals.
Sophia Stoddard was 1-for-2 with a home run and four RBI,
Maggie Whipple was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI and
Saige Nielsen was 1-for-2 with a double. Both
Kylie Baumert and
Caitlin Turner were 1-for-2.
In the circle,
Brooke Merrill earned the win, going five innings and giving up no runs on two hits with five strikeouts.
Game two was all CSI early as the Golden Eagles scored six runs in the first three innings.
Stoddard was 3-for-4 with a double,
Gracie Tentinger was 2-for-3 with a home run, Nielsen was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI,
Maizie Clark was 1-for-2 and
Rachael Brown hit a double.

Kenzie Waters earned the win, going four innings and giving up one run on five hits with three strikeouts.
August Cowan came in and pitched the final three innings and was a walk away from a being perfect. The freshman didn't give up a run or hit and had one strikeout.
CSI, now 8-5 overall, hosts Snow College Thursday and Friday to open the Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule.
