TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team added one of the best players in the state of Idaho to its roster. Gracie Tentinger, a corner/outfielder from Mountain View High School, will join the Golden Eagles next fall.
"We are super excited to welcome Gracie to the Golden Eagle Softball family," said CSI Head Coach
Nick Baumert. "She is a special player and a dynamic person. She has a chance to be one of the best hitters we have had at CSI and is most certainly one of if not the best hitter in the state of Idaho right now. She will come in and make an immediate impact for us."
Tentinger helped Mountain View to a 2019 5A State Championship as well as a state academic championship her sophomore season. That year, she hit .560 at the plate with 18 home runs. She had 61 RBI and had just four strikeouts in 118 plate appearances, earning SIC first-team all-conference outfield honors.
She was unable to play her junior season as Covid 19 shut down spring softball in the state of Idaho. But will be back on the field this spring for Mountain View.
"I'm very excited and looking forward to being a part of the CSI Softball program," Tentinger said. "From the very beginning the staff and culture promoted integrity, competitiveness and sincerity."
Tentinger plays travel ball for Idaho Crossfire 18U, one of the top programs in Idaho and the Northwest.Â
During her early playing years, Tentinger competed on teams that won the 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 Idaho ASA State Championship.
Not only is Tentinger talented on the field, but the senior has a 4.0 GPA in the classroom.Â
