POCATELLO, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Men's and Women's Distance Track Teams excelled at the Mountain State Games Friday and Saturday at Idaho State University.
The Golden Eagles added nine more qualifiers for the NJCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field National Championships.
On the men's side,
Raivio Manzer added a second event to his qualifications, running an 8:40 in the 3,000 meters. Gradyden DeVries was the other CSI Men's runner to qualifying, hitting his mark in the mile with a time of 4:20.
Seven women's runner reached qualifying times.
Mia Beightol ran a 5:14 in the mile,
Audrey Lemon ran a 10:50 in the 3,000 meters and
Ava Daniel ran 2:21 in the 800 meters.
All the other qualifiers were in the 5,000 meters -
Edith Neslen (18:16),
Indianna Lundell (18:19),
Lily Griffith (18:37) and
Sage Lyon (19:05).
This was the last official meet before nationals in Topeka, Kan., March 6 and 7.
