Box Score 2 SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team beat Scottsdale twice Friday 13-3 and 11-7 in non-conference action.
The Golden Eagles run ruled the Fighting Artichokes in the first game, pounding out 10 hits and holding Scottsdale to four.
Mack Evans was 2-for-4 with a double and one RBI, Ryan Cutlip was 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Trey Purser hit a 3-run home run and
Cade Burnham finished 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.
Stockton Fowlks was 1-for-1 and
Cooper Scott was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Degan Rigby earned the win, going four innings and giving up two earned runs on three hits with seven strikeouts. Cayman Kap pitched the final two innings, giving up no runs on one hit.
The Golden Eagles needed one extra inning to pull away from Scottsdale and get the win in game two.
CSI was out-hit 11-6 but took advantage of 10 walks to secure the win.
Fowlks was 2-for-4 with a double and
Tayson Howard, Scott and
Crew Secrist each had a double.
Kaleb Doty earned the win, pitching the final two innings, giving up one run on two hits with three strikeouts.
Kyson Giles got the start, pitching 4.2 innings and giving up two runs on nine hits with two strikeouts.
CSI, 4-5 overall, play Scottsdale again for a single game Saturday.
