TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team has added 6-2 guard Kobe Kesler to the roster for the 2025-26 season.
Golden Eagle fans are already familiar with the Kesler name as Kobe joins his older brother Cooper as a member of the Golden Eagles. Kobe recently returned from a two-year LDS mission in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Prior to his church mission Kesler played at Hillcrest High School in Idaho Falls. While at Hillcrest, Kesler led his team to two district championships and two Idaho State Championships. He was named to the Idaho All-State First Team, First Team All-District and First Team All-Region his senior year.
"I'm ecstatic to be at CSI," Kesler said. "The tradition and fan support are awesome. It's not every day that you get the opportunity to play college basketball with your brother and best friend. I know this is a special opportunity and I'm excited to show people what the Kesler family is all about."
CSI Head Coach Jeff Reinert is excited to have Kesler join the Golden Eagles.
"I offered Kobe during the same home visit in which I offered his brother Cooper," Reinert said. "It was one of the most memorable visits I've ever had with all 10 siblings in the room. Kobe is a winner in every aspect of his life. He's an excellent student, a high-character person and a talented basketball player. The opportunity to play alongside his brother was a big factor in his decision to come to CSI. He recently returned from his LDS mission and has been working hard all summer to get ready for the season."
The Idaho native will be a true freshman this fall and looks to help the Golden Eagles in their quest for a Region 18 Championship.
