TWIN FALLS, Idaho -
Cooper Kesler came off the bench to spark the Golden Eagles Friday, helping them to a weekend sweep and earning Scenic West Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.
CSI didn't score the first three minutes of its game against Northeastern JC but a timely sub and the Golden Eagles took off behind the shooting of Kesler. The redshirt freshman scored the first 11 points of the game and finished with 26 points, hitting three 3-pointers.
He added 15 points the next night in the Golden Eagles win over South Puget Sound. Not only did he average 20.5 points per game for the weekend, he added four rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
The Golden Eagles, ranked eighth in the latest NJCAA poll and undefeated at 9-0, host the Wright PT Shootout this weekend and will take on Eastern Arizona (receiving votes) and Odessa College (16th).
