FORT DODGE, Iowa - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Cross Country Team turned a winter wonderland into a race course Saturday, finishing eighth at the NJCAA Division I Men's Cross Country National Championships.
The Golden Eagles woke up to a snow storm and overcame the blustery conditions to earn their top 10 finish along with one All American individual.
Raivio Manzer placed ninth overall, running the 8k course in 25:32.5. Rounding out the top five were
Grayden DeVries in 43rd in 26:44.4;
Ben Ricks in 63rd in 27:10.4;
Kaleb Burnett in 64th in 27:11.0; and
Parker Goggins in 66th in 27:18.2.
CSI was ranked 14th going into the event, finishing six spots higher than predicted.
The Golden Eagles will begin training for the indoor season once they return home.
