Box Score 2 SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho knocked off #3 Missouri State West Plains 26-24, 25-20, 25-18 before losing to Daytona 26-28, 25-20, 25-21, 26-24 Saturday on the final day of the UFirst Intermountain Invite.
In the opening match
Alizaysha Sopi led the Golden Eagles with 11 kills, seven digs and four service aces. Val Sarti-Cipriana finished with eight kills and three blocks and
Janke Pretorius had five kills, 23 assists, 11 digs and three blocks. Defensively, Chinaru Inoeu added 11 digs and
Annie Nikolnikova posted four blocks.
Sopi had another solid match in the nightcap, finishing with 10 kills, 11 digs and two aces. Pretorius had a team high 26 assists and 18 digs and Nikolnikova led CSI with 12 kills and six blocks. Inoue racked up 17 more digs.
The Golden Eagles travel to Hillsboro, Mo., next Friday and Saturday for a tournament at Jefferson College.Â
