TWIN FALLS, Idaho - CSI Volleyball freshman Emma Pannell helped the Golden Eagles to pair of crucial wins over in-state rival North Idaho last week and has been named the Scenic West Conference Player of the Week for her efforts.
Pannell has been a force all season long in her first season with the Golden Eagles, but Saturday's match saw her eclipse two new season highs as she finished with 21 kills and 20 digs in a 3-1 victory. The Rexburg, Idaho native finished with 34 kills and 29 digs on the weekend and is now up to a team high 216 kills on the season, good for 2.60 kills per set. She also has totaled 210 digs on the year, good for second best on the team.
Pannell has played in all 25 of the Golden Eagles matches and continues to be a steady offensive weapon for Southern Idaho.
Pannell and the 11th-ranked Golden Eagles will hit the road for their final regular season matches, this weekend when they travel to Colorado Northwestern, looking to clinch the regular season conference title with a pair of wins and a Salt Lake loss.
