Utah's 5A Player of the Year signs with CSI Softball

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Bountiful High School's Eva Stoddard is headed to the College of Southern Idaho this fall to play for the Golden Eagles.
A 5-9 pitcher and hitter, Stoddard led her high school team to a runner-up finish at the Utah 5A State Championships in May. After a standout spring, she was named Deseret News 5A Player of the Year.
As a sophomore and junior, Stoddard was key in leading Bountiful to third-place state finishes. She was named to All-State second team as a sophomore and first team as a junior.
"We are super excited Eva is coming our way," said CSI Head Coach Nick Baumert. "She is a very talented pitcher that will have an immediate impact for us and is an elite competitor."
Her senior season, she hit .374 at the plate with six home runs and 13 doubles. In the circle, she posted a 1.93 ERA with 167 strikeouts.
She competes for the USA Athletics Embrey/Mortensen travel team outside of school softball.
