CSI Softball sweeps on final day to finish regular season as SWAC Co-Champions

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 19th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team beat North Idaho College 8-6 and 18-0 Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
With those wins, the Golden Eagles finish the regular season with a 26-5 conference record to finish as SWAC Co-Champions with Salt Lake CC. 
In game one, CSI scored its runs via the long ball. Jade Romero, Kyli Carrell and Rilyne Keck each had a home run. Keck was 2-for-3 with a double. Lexi Crowley had a double as well.
Sophia Bristow earned the win, pitching 4.2 innings and giving up five earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts. Ella Farrell got the save, pitching the final 2.1 innings and giving up no runs on three hits with two strikeouts.
Game two was all CSI. The Golden Eagles finished with 16 hits and six walks.
Emerson Fuller was dominant in the circle, throwing a one-hit shutout with three strikeouts.
Keck was 3-for-4 with two RBI, Alyce Archuleta was 2-for-3 with three RBI and Kyli Carrell and Adi Hansen were each 1-for-2. Maile Ha'o and Romero were perfect at the plate. Ha'o was 4-for-4 with a double, home run and two RBI, while Romero was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI. Adi Brooks finished 1-for-1.
The Region 18 Tournament opens Tuesday in Salt Lake. The Golden Eagles will play Snow College at 2:30 p.m.
