TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 19th-ranked College of Southern Idaho dominated at the plate and in the circle to beat North Idaho 14-1 and 13-0 Thursday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Marissa Mauger pitched a no-hit shutout in game two with four strikeouts, while
Emerson Fuller pitched a one-run, four hitter with two strikeouts in game one.
The Golden Eagles hit five home runs on the day, the biggest coming in the first game when
Alyce Archuleta hit a grand slam.
Archuleta finished the game 2-fo-3.
Maile Ha'o and
Anslie Yazzie also each hit a home run in game one. Yazzie was 1-for-2 and Ha'o was 2-for-3.
Lexi Crowley was also 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI and
Rilyne Keck was 1-for-2 with with a double and two RBI.
In game two, Ha'o hit another home run and Crowley was 1-for-1 with a home run and two RBI.
Adi Hansen was 2-for-2, Carrell was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI and
Adi Hansen was 2-for-3.
Shyann Banasky finished the game 1-for-1 and
Jade Romero was 1-for-2.
CSI, 36-11 overall and 25-5 in conference play, hosts North Idaho again Friday at noon. Sophomores will be recognized prior to game one.
