Box Score 2 RANGELY, Colo. - The College of Southern Idaho Softball made quick work of Colorado Northwestern Friday, winning 12-2 and 14-2, both in five innings.
The wins put the Golden Eagles at 7-3 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play and 17-7 overall.
In game one,
Stefani Zimmerman held Colorado at bay most of the game, giving up just one earned run on two hits with three strikeouts.
Offensively,
Hailey Hicks finished the game 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBI.
Anjalee Batchelor was 3-for-4.
Batchelor stayed hot in game two, going 4-for-4 with three doubles and a home run along with five RBI.
Hannah Peterson also had a solid game, finishing 3-4 with a double and three RBI.
Siearrah Anderson hit a home run in the second inning.
In the circle,
Kamryn Grover earned the win. The freshman threw all five innings, giving up one earned run on three hits.
CSI will take on CNCC Saturday at noon and 2 p.m. to finish up the weekend series.
