Box Score 2 EPHRAIM, Utah - The 10th-ranked College of Southern Idaho's Saturday looked a lot like Friday. After falling 1-0 in the opener, the Golden Eagles dominated the second game 13-3.
With the split, CSI remains four games ahead of Snow in second place behind league-leading Salt Lake.
In a pitching duel in game one, neither team scored until the bottom of the fifth when Snow plated what would eventually be the winning run. The Golden Eagles managed just four hits - two by
Skylar Cook.
Kelsey Christensen earned the loss in the circle but pitched well, giving up eight hits and the lone Snow run with four strikeouts.
In game two, CSI crushed the ball, finishing with 15 hits. Cook,
Jaici Bishop and
Abby Toller all went 3-for-5 at the plate. Bishop knocked her 12th home run of the season. Both Bishop and Toller had three rbi. In the circle,
CheyAnne Dahl gave up just five hits and two earned runs with four strikeouts.Â
Snow brought in their game one pitcher in the middle of the second inning to try and slow down the Eagle bats. But this time CSI had little trouble with her, posting 10 hits and seven earned runs.
The Golden Eagles move to 27-14 overall and 18-8 in SWAC play.
