TWIN FALLS - The College of Southern Idaho baseball team received clutch pitching performances to take the 2-1 and 3-1 wins Friday over Western Nevada.
In game one,
Makay Nelson went five innings, giving up just three hits and one earned run with five strikeouts.
Tyler Burdett pitched two inning for the save, giving up no hits or runs.
CSI's three hits in game one came from
Bodie Cooper,
Nate Gardner and
Dugan Shirer.
Mason Hilty matched game one performances by going 7.0 innings and giving up five hits, one earned run with three strikeouts in game two.
The Golden Eagles trailed 3-1 going into the bottom of the sixth in game two before a three-RBI double by
Harrison Ramey gave CSI its final lead. In the same game,
Cole Walters finished 2-for-2 with a double and
Ethan Ibarra went 1-for-3 with a double.
CSI travels to Colorado Northwestern next week.
