Tayllor Gipson and
Mechela Barnes scored 20 points apiece Thursday to lead the College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team past Snow 66-52 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles were able to apply pressure to Snow guard Erica Martinez and hold her to 12 points on 5-of-18 shooting, while forcing her into six turnovers. Keying that were guards
Kylee Schierman and Gipson.
Chakala Carthen finished with a double-double for CSI, scoring 11 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.
Jessy Saint-Felix added nine points and 10 rebounds inside.
CSI pulls within a game of the second-place Badgers with the win. The Golden Eagles host Salt Lake Saturday at 3 p.m.
