CSI 67, CNCC 49 Boxscore
TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho women's basketball team overcame a sluggish first half to beat Colorado Northwestern CC 67-49 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Chakala Carthen scored 20 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead CSI.
Mechela Barnes added 25 points. Taylor Gipson only scored six points for the Eagles but added eight rebounds, nine assists and two steals.
The Golden Eagles held just a 2-point halftime lead but outscored Colorado 43-27 in the second half to pull away.
CSI, 13-12 overall and 5-5 in league, host Snow College and Salt Lake next weekend.
