CSI 69, SLCC 63 Boxscore
TWIN FALLS - Four CSI sophomores scored all but three of the Golden Eagles' points Thursday in leading CSI to a 69-63 victory over Salt Lake CC in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
In a game that saw seven lead changes and six ties,
Tayllor Gipson (10 points, seven rebounds, three assists),
Kylee Schierman (17 points, 13 rebounds, five assists),
Mechela Barnes (20 points, five rebounds, five steals) and
Chakala Carthen (19 points, 13 rebounds, three steals) showed the importance of being a sophomore in league play.
All four did not win a game last season against Salt Lake. They made sure it didnt happen again this season.
Another key stat for the Eagles was in the rebounding column. CSI outrebounded the much taller SLCC squad 45-38.
CSI, 8-7 overall and 1-0 in SWAC play, hosts Snow Saturday at 3 p.m.
