SALT LAKE CITY - The College of Southern women's basketball team moved to 10-12 overall and 2-5 in Region 18 play after falling to Snow College 68-62 Friday and Salt Lake CC 55-47 Saturday on the road.
Against Snow, CSI didn't have an answer for Erica Martinez. The guard scored 22 points for the Badgers, hitting five 3-pointers. Snow hit 64 percent from beyond the arc as a team (9-14) and 48 percent from the field.
Mechela Barnes and
Kylee Schierman led the eagles with 15 points apiece.
Jessy Saint-Felix fnished with one of her best games so far, scoring 14 points and pulling down nine rebounds.
The Golden Eagles led Salt Lake at the half Saturday but went cold from the field in the second half and couldn't hold onto the lead. After shooting 40 percent from the field and 50 percent from the 3-point line in the first half, CSI struggled to find the basket in the second half, hitting only seven shots from the field.
Chakala Carthen led the Eagles with 11 points and five rebounds.
CSI hosts league-leading North Idaho Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
