One of the winningest men's basketball coaches ever at the College of Southern Idaho, Fred Trenkle led the Golden Eagles to the NJCAA National Championship in 1987. He was also named national coach of the year in 1987. While the coach at CSI from 1983-1993, he won 10 conference championships. Trenkle also had eight national tournament appearance and four final fours.
