PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team jumped out to a 6-1 lead and hung on for the 7-5 win Thursday to open the four-game Scenic West Athletic Conference series with USU Eastern.
Cade Burnham had a big day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBI.
Stetson Critchley was also 2-for-4 with a double.
Mack Evans,
Tayson Howard and
Stockton Fowlks were all 1-for-3 on the day.
Grayson Riding earned the win on the mound, pitching the first five innings and giving up four earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts.
Kaleb Doty got the save, pitching the final four innings and giving up just one earned run on two hits with five strikeouts.
CSI, 34-8 overall and 10-3 in conference play, takes on USU Eastern again Friday for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
