SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team beat Salt Lake CC 4-3 Saturday in its final regular season game of the year, winning the regular season Scenic West Athletic Conference Title.
Jackson Gardner held the Bruins scoreless through the 4.2 innings he pitched, giving up just two hits and taking the win.
Kaleb Doty earned the save, pitching the final 1.1 innings and giving up no runs on not hits.
At the plate
Tayson Howard was 3-for-5.
Ryder Cutlip was 2-for-3 with a home run and RBI and
Trey Purser was 1-for-4 with two RBI.
Crew Secrist was 3-for-4 with a double and the final RBI.
The Golden Eagles will open the Region 18 Tournament Thursday at home, hosting the fourth-seeded Colorado Northwestern Spartans in a best of three series. Games are slated for Thursday and Friday at 4 p.m. and if-necessary Saturday at noon at Skip Walker Field.
CSI ends the regular season 41-12 overall and 17-7 in conference play.
